Solmara Energy Ltd. sells wholesale to businesses only. These pages set out who we are, the terms every order is placed under, how we handle data, and what happens when hardware needs a warranty claim.

Nothing on solmaraenergy.com is an offer to consumers. We supply registered businesses — installers, EPC contractors and distributors — and may ask for proof of business registration before quoting.
02 · Terms and conditions of sale
Scope
These terms govern every quotation, order confirmation and delivery by Solmara Energy Ltd. unless a signed supply agreement says otherwise. A buyer's own purchase-order terms do not apply. All sales are made from Hong Kong under Hong Kong law.
Quotations and orders
Quotations state availability, lead time and price and are valid for 72 hours from issue unless stated otherwise. A quotation is not an allocation of goods: stock is allocated on our written order confirmation. Prices are exclusive of freight, insurance, duties and taxes unless the quotation says otherwise.
Prices, payment and currency
Prices are quoted in HKD or USD and are payable [100% in advance / 30% deposit, balance against shipping documents] to the account named on the invoice. Payment obligations are not suspended by a warranty claim. Late payment carries interest at [x]% per month.
Delivery and title
Deliveries are ex-works Hong Kong (Incoterms 2020 EXW) unless the order confirmation names a different term — commonly FOB Hong Kong or CIF Laem Chabang / Bangkok. Risk passes with the agreed Incoterm; title passes on full payment. Lead times are estimates and not conditions of the contract.
Inspection and short shipment
The buyer inspects pallets on arrival and notes visible damage or shortage on the carrier's documents. Claims for transit damage, shortage or wrong goods reach us in writing within seven days of delivery, with photographs of packaging, labels and goods.
Compliance and installation
Hardware is supplied for installation by qualified personnel in accordance with the manufacturer manual and the rules of the utility and authorities in the destination market. The buyer is responsible for import approvals, local product certification, permits, grid applications, installation and commissioning, and satisfies itself that the goods are suitable and permitted there. We supply documentation, not engineering or regulatory approval.
Implied terms
Sales are business-to-business. To the extent permitted by the Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26) and the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71), terms implied as to quality or fitness for a particular purpose are excluded; the buyer relies on the manufacturer specification and datasheet, not on any description or advice from us.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the invoice value of the goods concerned. We are not liable for lost profit, lost generation revenue, contractual penalties or other indirect loss. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Export control and sanctions
Goods are exported from Hong Kong under the Import and Export Ordinance (Cap. 60) and its regulations. The buyer confirms it will not re-export or on-sell goods contrary to applicable export-control or sanctions rules.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
03 · Warranty and returns
Hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty — for the EcoFlow OCEAN and PowerOcean systems we supply, ten years from the manufacturer's warranty start date, on the manufacturer's published terms. We pass that warranty through and handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf; we do not extend or alter it.
Making a claim
- Send the invoice number, serial numbers, site address, installation date and the error record from the app or portal.
- Keep the unit installed and accessible until the manufacturer's remote diagnosis is complete.
- Approved claims are settled by repair, replacement part or replacement unit at the manufacturer's discretion.
What is not covered
Transport damage reported after seven days, installation outside the manual, work by unqualified personnel, water ingress beyond the stated IP rating, lightning and surge events outside the specified protection class, unauthorised firmware, cosmetic wear, and consequential loss including lost generation.
Returns
We do not accept returns of correctly supplied goods. Wrong or damaged deliveries are replaced or credited once reported within the inspection period. Goods returned by agreement travel in original packaging, unfitted, with an RMA number.
04 · Shipping and dangerous goods
Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries are UN3480 / UN3481 dangerous goods. We ship them by sea freight, packed and documented to IMDG requirements — as applied in Hong Kong under the Dangerous Goods Ordinance (Cap. 295) — with UN 38.3 test summaries in the file. Air freight is available only by prior agreement and at the carrier's discretion.
Standard routes are ex-works Hong Kong, or delivered to Laem Chabang and Bangkok, and onward across Southeast Asia, Greater China, Australia and New Zealand. Import duties, VAT and local certification remain the buyer's responsibility; we prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and dangerous-goods declaration.
05 · Privacy policy
Solmara Energy Ltd. is the data user under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (the “PDPO”). We collect and use personal data in line with the six Data Protection Principles in Schedule 1 to the PDPO. Where we later sell into markets with their own data laws, this policy will be extended for those markets.
What we collect
- Business contact details you give us in an enquiry: name, company, role, email, telephone, delivery address.
- Project details you send for quoting: system size, utility, site address, timelines.
- Transaction records: quotations, orders, invoices, shipping and warranty correspondence.
- Technical data needed to serve the website: your IP address and browser, processed by our host to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure.
- Page-view statistics, but only if you accept analytics — see the cookie notice below. These are aggregate and contain no identifier for you.
Why we use it
To quote, to fulfil and ship orders, to handle warranty claims, to meet accounting, customs and dangerous-goods record-keeping duties, and — where you have agreed — to send occasional trade updates. We do not sell personal data.
Who receives it
Manufacturers (for warranty claims and registration), freight forwarders and customs brokers, our bank and payment providers, our accountants and auditors, and IT service providers hosting our email and CRM. This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, which also provides the optional analytics described below. Some recipients are outside Hong Kong; those transfers are made under written contractual safeguards consistent with the PCPD guidance on cross-border transfers.
How long we keep it
Transaction records for 7 years, in line with the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112) record-keeping requirement; enquiry records for [24] months; marketing consents until withdrawn.
Your rights
Under sections 18 and 22 of the PDPO you may request access to, and correction of, your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to direct marketing at any time — we must then stop using your data for marketing. Write to privacy@solmaraenergy.com; we answer data-access requests within 40 days as the PDPO requires. Complaints may be made to the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.
